1. Introduction

Note: Сlick the “Save Changes” button in order to apply any changes.  

1.1. Open your WordPress Admin Dashboard and find the menu on the left.

1.2. Open the “Analytics” > “Settings” page.

2. Settings

Use the “Analytics Settings” tab to authenticate your website by Google.

2.1. Authentication

Use the “Authentication” section to paste the necessary keys, obtained from Google, in the corresponding fields.

2.1.1.  Get the “Client ID and the “Client Secret” keys. 

2.1.2. Go to your Google Developers Console account: https://console.developers.google.com The “APIs & Services” page will open.

2.1.3. Open the “Credentials” page and click the “Create Credentials” button.

2.1.4. Select “OAuth client-id” in the drop-down.

 

2.1.5. Select the “Desktop app” application type, enter the name and click the “Create” button.

2.1.6. Copy the “Client ID” and the “Client secret” keys.

2.1.7. Paste the copied keys in the corresponding fields of the “Analytics Settings” tab of the plugin and save changes.

2.1.8. Get the “Tracking ID” key.

Note: To get your Tracking ID, create your Google Analytics account first.

2.1.9. Open the “Google Marketing Page” and click the “Start for free” button. https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/

2.1.10. Create your Google Analytics account name.

 

2.1.11. Choose the type of data you want to share with Google Analytics in the “Account Data Sharing Settings” section and click the “Next” button.

2.1.12. Choose the type of property for your Google Analytics account and click the “Next” button.

2.1.13. Make all the necessary settings in the “Property Setup” section and click the “Create” button.

2.1.14. Accept the “Google Analytics Terms of Service” and “Google Measurement Controller-Controller Data Protection Terms” and click the “I Accept” button.

2.1.15. The “All Website Data” page will open where you will find your “Tracking ID” to copy.

2.1.16. Paste the copied “Tracking ID” key in the “Tracking ID” field on the “Analytics Settings” tab of the plugin and save changes.

2.1.17. Use the “API Key” option to insert your Google developer key (Optional).

3. Analytics Statistics

Use the “Analytics Statistics” tab to configure statistics tracking options.

3.1. Authentication with Google Account

Click the “Authenticate with your Google Account” button, complete the authentication, paste the received key to the appropriate field and save changes.

3.2. Accounts

Use the “Accounts” option to select the Google Analytics account which statistics will be displayed.

3.3. Webproperties

Use the “Webproperties” option to choose the property for statistical analysis among the registered ones at your Google Analytics account.

3.4. Reporting

Use the “Reporting” option to choose the object of reporting between “Visits” and “Goals”.

3.4.1. Select “Visits” to view the “Visits” stats.

3.4.2. Choose the “View Mode” and click the “Get Statistic” button to display stats.

 

3.4.3. “Line chart” view mode for “Visits” will look as follows.

3.4.4. “Table” view mode for “Visits” will look as follows.

3.4.5. Select “Goals” to see the “Goals” stats.

 

3.4.6. Choose the “View Mode” and click the “Get Statistic” button to display stats.

3.4.7. “Line chart” view mode for “Goals” will look as follows.

3.4.8. “Table” view mode for “Visits” will look as follows.

3.5. Goals

Use the “Goals” option to choose which goals stats to display.

3.6. Metrics

Use the “Metrics” option to specify the type of metrics tracked by Google Analytics.

3.6.1. Choose “Visits” in the “Reporting” to track the “Visits” metric data.

3.6.2. Enable the necessary “Metrics” and click the “Get Statistic” button to display the stats.

3.6.3. “Line Chart” with all “Visits” metrics enabled will look as follows.

3.6.4. “Table” with all “Visits” metrics enabled will look as follows.

3.6.5. Choose “Goals” in the “Reporting” to track the “Goals” metric data.

3.6.6. Enable the necessary “Metrics” and click the “Get Statistic” button to display the stats.

3.6.7. “Line Chart” with all “Goals” metrics enabled will look as follows.

3.6.8. “Table” with all “Goals” metrics enabled will look as follows.

3.7. Time Range

Use the “Time Range” option to set the time period for users’ activity analysis from YYYY/MM/DD to YYYY/MM/DD.

Note: The gap between the dates must not be more than 999 days.

3.7.1. “Time Range” for the “Line chart” will be displayed as follows.

3.7.2. “Time Range” for the “Table” will be displayed as follows.

3.8. View Mode

Use the “View Mode” option to choose the type of statistic display between “Line Chart” and “Table”. Make your preference and click the “Get Statistic” button to view stats using the defined mode.

3.8.1. Use the “Group by” option to group the statistics data by means of the “Year”/“Month”/“Day” buttons.

Note: This option is available only for the “Table” view mode.

3.9. Deauthorize

Use the “Log Out” button to deauthorize from your Google Analytics account.

4. Miscellaneous Settings

Use the options of the “Miscellaneous Settings” tab to make the settings regarding the track usage and default settings.

4.1. Track Usage

Enable the “Track Usage” option to allow tracking plugin usage anonymously.

4.2.  Restore Settings

Click the “Restore Settings button to reset all the settings made previously and revert them to the default ones.

5. Custom Code

Use the “Custom Code” tab to insert a CSS, PHP or JavaScript code. To activate a custom code, enable the “Activate custom … code” option and save changes.

6. License Key

Use the “License Key” tab to activate or check the Pro plugin license.

6.1. Pro License

After a successful plugin purchase, you will receive an email notification with a download link and a license key. Activate Pro license by pasting a license key into the “Analytics Pro License” field and clicking the “Save Changes” button.

6.2. Check License Key

To check the license key, click the “Check license key” button. If the entered key is correct, the notification “The license key is valid. Your license will expire on XXXX-XX-XX” will be displayed in the upper left corner of the page.

6.3. Manage License Settings

Use the “Manage License Settings” option to change your license settings. Click the “Login to Client Area” button to open your personal Client Area dashboard found on the https://bestwebsoft.com/ website. Browse and download purchased products, change the license domain and copy the license keys.
